Artifex's Purpose: To Assist a Journey and Accomplish Goals.
The journey of the artist, though no one may know the road he/she will take, can be a long one. Longer still without help. A journey to great works never needs to be walked alone. A person to help is always a few paces away. Artifex attempts to meet this desire or need, whatever you may require, by providing the means by which all artists can find help or encouragement without fear or critical judgment. We seek to build up our fellow artists and encourage new growth. We hope that we can provide a place for artists to find their paths and assist each other as we all work towards obtaining our goals.
Each Artist is different. Different styles, techniques, backgrounds and more, so how to teach both newer and experience artists techniques etc without pushing or stream lining them into a particular look. Thus the idea of Challenges was devised.
A Challenge must be technique/style based, allow a good measure of creative freedom, and challenge the artists to explore something they are maybe not use to.
Completing a Challenge
We aren't a Competitive site.. but we would like to give something back to those who complete challenges^^, so we are implementing the rank system to show how many challenges people have completed

Creating a Challenge
All Artifex Artists are implored to create and post their own challenges for other artists, but we ask that you follow this guideline when making your own challenge..
- Create a new Thread for the Challenge
- Present an Aim
- List any Rules of the Challenge clearly under its own heading
- provide links to Site and Signature rules
- K.I.S.S - Keep it Simple Stupid, if people cannot understand the challenge expect PM's and posts with plenty of questions
- Provide Examples of the work expected of them
- Once completed contact a Mod (Lanaee or Pharwynd) and we will sticky it for you^^.
