My Question: What is your MOST favourite effect to use? (ANY program)

Q4 A: Sourcing Images... After over 2 years of making siggies... and trying hard not to reuse images and images others have used... in can become a nightmare. Often being the most time consuming part of siggy making for me.

A1: Smudging! I love to smudge images and stuff to make a different looking picture.

Q1 A: I like to shadow pictures. ._.

Q2 A: I get my images from google and random sites.

Q4 A: When you don't have an ideas on how to make your artwork. Like how to put it all together.

Q5 A: I like to use GIMP because it's easy to use, but I do use PS CS5 when I want to.

Q6 A: A lot of different people inspired me to do siggys.

A1: Outer Glow - I like the look of different colors
A2: Planet renders or render my own
A3: No o_o jk most of the time yes
A4: Text >_< Never seems to work for me
A5: Photoshop CS5 - it's what I started with and I love adobe products
A6: Pharwynd - I liked what she was doing and wanted to try myself
A7: Someone asked me to make their wife a sig of them naked >_<
A8: Hmm...my first pop-out. It was horrible, but I worked hard on it and I don't have the image file for it anymore, computer crashed >_<

Q7: Umm over the years there has been a few, some weird because of the excessiveness of how exact they wanted me to make it, or wanting me to make a siggy that involved placing a name on the image and thats all,(why they needed me to do that no clue) to someone wanting something domantrix, sexy, and classy.. the list goes on

Q9: I love trying new things, I am a dabbler though so often new things are more of a oooo what does this do rather then finding a tutorial and trying something from one...

Q10: Tricky question, for me this is really dependant on a)signature style I'm going for b) signature the user is going for If I want to do something like a pop out usually anime or "drawn" where as some of the more c4d style signatures work really well worth more of a real life image.

Q1: A: not sure if layering is an effect... But I make heaps of layers...
Q2: A: MY MIND! DUN DUN... Haven't explored to that area yet, but rest assured, I will!

But I just wanted to say LMAO I can SO relate to this answer right now! My Magic Wand has been broken for the past three months or so! -.- I can say for a fact that not having it truly does suck! haha! I'm pretty sure if I re-installed PS, it would fix it, but I've been way too busy making stuff to stop and re-install. (Ironic since not having magic wand makes everything take longer haha)

Q1: My fav effect has to be the render filters, I use those a lot.
Q2: I get my images from google, desktop nexus and deviant art, or anywhere else I find something that catches my eye!
Q3: I always take lazy shortcuts if I have a time limit to get something done lol
Q4: The thing i find most difficult is finding time! Im a mum and work and have a man in my life and sometimes its hard to find enough time to devote to art!
Q5: I use PS CS5, it was the first programme I learnt to use well and so have stuck with it!
Q6: Various people on various forums inspired me to give it a go myself!
Q7: I (touch wood) have not had any out of the ordinary requests yet!
Q8: This is one of my favs because I had the image of how i wanted it to look in my head, and really did not think I could pull it off, took a lot of coming back to but I got there in the end and it boosted my confidence so for that reason I have to say this one

Q9: Im always trying new things, if i see a great sig concept I like to experiment and see what I can come up with.
Q10: I prefer using real renders as i like the overall look but have had fun playing with anime when people request it!
Q11: I did have one who i sent about 7 versions of a sig that they wanted tweaking each time until they were happy but i had fun doing it and dont mind when people are not afraid to say when they dont like something!
Q12: I think the hardest thing is when someone request a specific image that is not great quality or hard to work around, makes it challenging!

Q11: well its a tie between Lanaee and a gentlemen on AGE forums who gave me a hundred details for his signature, I was very relieved when he accepted my piece =). And well Lanaee was my first customer on AGE and had a hundred (exagerated) change requests ;p

Q12: It is a tie between Text and lightning especially if you are using a render which already has hints of a lighting source and a c4d /background image with another one.

Q16: This can be really tough especially if you do not know the person you are making the signature for, this is also why when signature artists create and opening post they ask requestees to state in basics what they would like on the signature. (Kind like buisness's giving a design brief to a graphic designer instructing one what they like) This at least gives us a starting point, from their its trial and error till it becomes something they will like.
