| Holy's Studio Challenge
- Create 1 New Signature and 1 New Matching Avatar for yourself

- "Artist" Name: Holy or uberfearr
- Name: Beckah
- Favorite Color: Blue CORAL!
- Games you play: Aion pretty much full time, and rarely Shaiya
- Active Forums: Shaiya Fan-Art and General Discussion mostly, here ofc, and my guild forums on Aion.
- How did you become interested in making signatures? Well it started on GaiaOnline, casually. But, I think seeing people on the Shaiya forums with their siggies inspired me to make them seriously, at first for myself, then I opened a shop. Lol funny story: For the longest time, I actually refused to make siggies for my closest friends cause I cared more about their opinions and didn't want to let them down if they didn't like my siggies xD
- Why do you like to make Signatures? I like experimenting, pushing myself to be better. Trying new color schemes or finding new cool techniques (by accident 90% of the time.) Plus, if I'm making them for other people and they like it, I feel a big sense of satisfaction from it.
- What programs(s) do you use? Photoshop (CS5) foreverrr <3 but soon to be CS6.
- Why do you like it? It's got like..everything. It's what I've been using for years now, what I learned graphic design with. I'm good with it and it's convenient.
- How long have you been making signatures? I've been making them for about 6 years now (not very well until recently), but there's been a recent spike in how often I make them and how serious I am about it in the past two years.
- What are five suggestions you would give to any signature artist?
 Don't be afraid to ask questions, no matter how long you've been making siggies.
Step out of your comfort zone. You can't get better and push yourself if you don't.
As a seasoned siggy artist you probably know a lot of effects you want to use, but sometimes simple is better.
If you don't like a siggy you've made, there's probably at least one person out there who does like it. So don't put yourself down for it.
For those of you with shops, try not to let siggy making become a chore; a monotonous assembly of cookie cutter sigs and effects thrown together. Siggy making, and art in general, to me, is about having fun and putting soul into it. If it loses that, it loses it's quality.
- How about five suggestions for a new artist?
Don't expect to open your program for the first time and make a brilliant piece of work. We all start off bad and slow. Learn your program(s), start simple, and build from there.
Accept constructive criticism and strive to be better.
Shortcuts (in your program) will save you a ton of time. It's best to learn them early.
Tutorials can help a lot, as well as using other artist's work as inspiration (not for copying.) No one will put you down for trying to accomplish a technique or effect they've used.
Good Color Schemes are a huge part of great siggies.
- Do you offer tutorials or give lessons? I make tutorials occasionally, and can make more if requested. And I don't mind offering help or answering questions people have. I'll share any render, resource, or brush I own ^^
- Other Random Stuff: I have 3 American Eskimos, two are puppies atm. I have a BF of over 3 years now. I love doing makeup. My 3 favorite movies are..well, the Batman trilogy (Begins, Dark Knight, Rises), Avatar (blue people one), and Inception but I have a ton more. I guess you could call me a movie buff. I'm half Latina though no one could guess cause my skin is transparent pale. I frequent eBay. | hehe you should see my real room x_x I have soo many stuffed pandas. Two of them are half my size. I have like 10 I keep out, the rest I have to stuff in the closet cause they take up soo much room. lmao |
